Happy Thursday everyone! Tomorrow is Cade's 1st Halloween and we are really excited! I am going to dress him up today & take him to daddy's office & to the mall. He's just so cute in his costume, I have to show him off!
Still no teeth... still REALLY miserable.
I've taken a ton of pictures that I haven't put up on the blog -- I know, bad mommy. Here are a few of my favorites -- there are more in his photobucket, so you can go take a look there too.
I'm not sure about this face, LOL, I think he may have been laughing & grabbing at my camera:
Always so silly!
His serious look ;)
BIG smile!
He's a happy baby boy!
Drool.

Since I know everyone is looking for an update...
There's not much new going on, but wanted to post a little "update" since I know that a lot of you check our blog daily.
The major thing going on right now is that Cade is teething like crazy... poor little guy is miserable. It is causing him to have some difficulty sleeping... he's been waking a lot during the night which means momma has been getting little sleep. I hope that it will pass soon though. He will cut those teeth (hopefully all at once!) and we can get back to normal. But as of right now, he's still just gumming away at everything. If you get close, LOOK OUT, he's like a little shark!
We had his pictures made on Wednesday. He was sooooo good & did such a great job, putting up with 3-4 women trying to get his attention, trying to get him to smile... it was quite an ordeal... almost 3 hours to be exact! I resorted to singing the Little Einstein's theme song over and over and over... it was the only thing that would make him smile. I would NEVER sing in front of anyone before Cade came along... now I'm singing in front of strangers just to make my kid smile. I haven't seen how they turned out but I'm sure we got some great ones! We had a few wardrobe changes and we were ALL worn out by the time it was over. Poor little Cade was still tired today from his professional photo shoot. Now maybe he won't mind his mommy's photo shoots so much!
We've started giving Cade baths in the BIG tub. He loves it! Loves the water, loves his duckies, I think he'd stay in there all night. He sits up all by himself and plays until he's all shriveled up... he hasn't really figured out how to splash yet but I'm sure that's soon to come. And of course I took some pictures to commemorate his first time in the bathtub! (I'm sure he'll hate me for this someday)... so here he is, in the big tub!
One other really cute thing he's started doing is giving hugs and kisses!!! There is NOTHING better in this world than your little baby boy squeezing you around the neck and giving you a big open mouth kiss right on the cheek (or sometimes he aims for the mouth, LOL)... I absolutely love it! It makes all of those 4:00 a.m. feedings (and sometimes the starts to our day) more bearable.

We'll Miss You Summer...
Cade is REALLY going to miss the warm weather -- he loves to be outside. These pictures were taken on Wednesday, Oct. 15th... probably our last really warm day of the year.

Yummy Bananas!?!?
Cade is having a tough time with "textures"... he is very unsure about anything that isn't pureed. He will chew it and work it around in his mouth, but it usually ends up being spit out. Today we had mashed up bananas for a snack. This is about as good as he does with anything that isn't pureed... and as you can see, he has a little trouble with even this.
But you have to admit, it's cute.

Our Big Boy!
Please ignore my "narration"... I was trying to get him to SMILE for the camera -- he usually does.
Here are a few ADORABLE pics I took today... there are lots more in my Photobucket, so go check 'em out!

7 Months
Cade turned 7 months old on Friday, the 10th. I can hardly believe it... where does time go? Seems like every month goes by a little faster. So what did we learn in month 6? Well, my lazy boy finally learned to stand! He is also rolling so much better now & even sitting unassisted! He is picking up finger foods & putting them in his mouth (even though they usually end up chewed up & spit out). I am looking forward to what his 7th month will bring!
Now to the good part... pictures! These were taken on Friday.
My blue-eyed baby boy!
So sweet...
I love his little face... I could kiss him to pieces!
His half-smile.
And too funny... the face only a mother could love!

Our Little Babysaurus!
We had a little photo shoot today with Cade in his dino Halloween costume! Thought I'd share these now because I'm almost afraid that his costume won't fit in a few weeks! It is already snug! This kid is growing like crazy!
Hope you all enjoy the pics... I thought they were so cute! (there's more in my photobucket)

Cade had SHOTS today...
Cade had his 6 month wellness exam today... complete with SHOTS. I think we're all in agreement that shots suck... BUT, he did better this time than he ever has! I was really proud. I was scared because it was the first time I took him by myself, but he only cried for about 2 minutes & then he was jabbering away.
He was pretty fussy tonight before bed. I hope he sleeps tonight. Usually, shots make babies sleepy. They tend to have the opposite effect on Cade though, so we'll see.
He is 18 pounds 13 ounces! 50th percentile... 27 and 3/4 inches long! 90th percentile... I can't remember his head measurement, but it was in the 50th percentile so I guess that's good.
The ped was happy with everything he was doing. Standing, sitting, grasping, eating... Said he's right on target! Yay Cade!
He goes back in 3 months, just for growth stuff though - NO SHOTS!

Look What I Can Do!!!
I can sit up! All by myself!
I am so excited that Cade is starting to sit unassisted! Seems like he has started doing everything at once. He just started standing the weekend before last, and tonight, he has been sitting unassisted for several minutes at a time! What's next week going to be? Crawling? Walking? Peeing in the toilet? (okay, just kidding on the walking part & potty trained part)
Of course he gets tired of holding his little wobbly body up and ends up like this:
But he's always happy! (not counting the time I let him go face first into the carpet... I don't think he enjoyed that)
My happy baby stayed up past his bedtime tonight to practice his sitting skills. He is proud of himself.
After some happy tummy time, he was worn out & ready for bed!
And p.s.: There are 20 new pics in my photobucket... go take a look!

Cade & Brady...
Cade & Brady visited over the weekend... they are so funny together. Brady has been teething for the first time, so he is very interested in how everything tastes... and he was especially interested in biting Cade!
Straight for the eyes...
Seeing how Cade's shirt tasted...
Brady going for Cade's mouth & Cade going for Brady's nose.
You gotta love teething!
